CAPC Blog Highlights Benefits of Registry Participation

Rachael Heitner, MA, CHPCA, MPH (CAPC Research Manager) spoke with PCQC Board member Kristyn Fazzalaro, LCSW ACHPSW about demonstrating a palliative care program's value through participation in a Registry. Kristyn is the manager of palliative care and oncology support services at Hoag Hospital.

Kristyn shared her experience of collecting both patient and program data for over a decade (using PCQN and the National Palliative Care Registry, respectively). And how participation in both helped them demonstrate value to their leadership. Kristyn also shared that her program has begun participation in the PCQC Registry and looks forward to the benefits of the unified palliative care registry.
