PCQC Will House National Palliative Care Registry™ Data

On July 15, 2020 the National Palliative Care Registry™ closed and began to transfer all data to the Palliative Care Quality Collaborative (PCQC) registry. PCQC is currently working to migrate all data from the National Palliative Care Registry™ to the PCQC registry and to update all reports. This process takes some time. All data entered into the National Palliative Care Registry™ prior to July 15, 2020 will be made available in the PCQC registry during the Fall 2020, and the 2020 annual surveys will be available in January 2021. The 2020 annual surveys will be similar to previous years, but have been updated. Content will be share during the Fall 2020.

As was the case in the National Palliative Care Registry™, your access to this data will remain free. In the PCQC registry, there will also be an option to collect patient-level data. If you are interested in this additional option there is an annual fee associated, which will also include quality improvement collaboratives and educational opportunities. The patient-level data collected in the PCQC registry is modeled off of the data in the GPCQA and PCQN registries, both are also in the process of merging with PCQC. Once this merger is complete, PCQC will be the national unified data registry for patient-level and program-level palliative care data. Please reach out to PCQC if you would like more information about the patient-level option.

Once the data migration is complete, your program will receive an email with instructions for how to access your data in the PCQC registry. We anticipate your data will be available during the Fall of 2020 and will name a specific date soon.

As you may know, your National Palliative Care Registry™ participation was separate from CAPC membership. CAPC and PCQC are two separate organizations. PCQC encourages your continued membership with CAPC as they offer many wonderful resources.
