Identifying Various Perspectives of Quality
The world of quality is continually evolving and becoming further integrated into our clinical, safety, payment, and leadership discussions. We prioritize quality because we know it empowers healthcare organizations with the tools to provide the best quality of care to patients and their loved ones. However, integrating quality into our organizations has been challenging.
While we agree on the need of high-quality care, putting quality into action has come to mean different things for different people. Clinicians, safety specialists, leaders, payor partners, patients and their caregivers often have different lenses by which they view the concept of quality-based care, creating a fractured system in enacting quality-based standards.
The theme for QMC 2024 is Identifying Various Perspectives of Quality. The goal of our conference is to have conversations where we recognize that quality looks different depending on where a person may sit in the health system. Discussion objectives include:
- What quality means at each level of an organization
- The differences in implementation of quality that exist between these levels
- How can we come together to synthesize these perspectives to create unity across quality
New this year, we are excited to offer a two-hour Quality Improvement Fundamentals Workshop as part of registration. During this session, participants will learn fundamental QI skills to improve upon their operational and care processes.
Participants of the conference will receive:
- Online access to live virtual conference sessions on November 21 and November 22
- Online access to live virtual pre-conference Quality Improvement Workshop on November 20
- Virtual access to recordings of the educational sessions held during the conference
- Up to 10 hours of continuing education credits (ACCME, ACPE, ANCC, and ASWB) (Please review the CE language for full details)
Previous events have welcomed over 23 nationally renowned palliative care clinicians and leaders to cover the spectrum of quality. The 230+ participants learned about a wide range of topics from the importance of quality in palliative care, sharing best practices in quality improvement, programmatic and clinical data trends within the field, and the role of health equity in high-quality care.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and Palliative Care Quality Collaborative. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
